Black Leadership Pennsylvania set out to do one thing in 2024: turn out Black voters across the Commonwealth. Working directly with the organization — part of the same body of work as the Philly Download early-voting activation — I handled the paid media and field pieces that carried the message from the highway to the doorstep.
The frame was simple and it was theirs: Your Vote Is Your Future. More money in your pockets, and power in your hands. Every piece closed on the same instruction — Vote November 5th — and the required “Paid for by Black Leadership Fed Pac” disclaimer, because this was an independent-expenditure PAC and every surface had to be compliant.

The out-of-home ran big and it ran often — digital boards stacked across Center City Philadelphia, the black-and-green system cutting through a busy streetscape. The rallying line never moved — Your Vote Is Your Future — but the portrait beside it did, tracing one life from the very start.

The highway series ran the idea through a single life: Kamala Harris as a girl, as a new college graduate, and as Vice President. “Your Vote Is Your Future,” read through the arc of one Black woman's rise — the distance a life can cover when the vote is there to back it.

A second front spoke to labor and union voters in a different register entirely — high-visibility orange, working Pennsylvanians, and a Political Action Committee seal. Same deadline, same disclaimer; a message built for the trades.

Air cover only works with a ground game, so the same system folded down to a canvasser's walk card — the rallying line on the front, the ask and the deadline on the back, sized for a hand on a porch.

And the people knocking doors needed to look like the campaign — so the crew got kitted out: “Your Vote Is Your Future” tees and Black Leadership Pennsylvania caps, the same wordmark they were handing out on the card.

“Your Vote Is Your Future.”
One message — Your Vote Is Your Future — carried from a Center City billboard down to a card in a canvasser's hand, all inside a week's deadline that couldn't move.
